ERP Solution For World’s Largest Furniture Retailer
An impeccable solution helping walk-in customers go through the products catalog from the tablet panel. With the simple and comprehensible user interface, the application displays the products straight from the inventory, eliminating the chances of disharmony between customer demand and product supply. Moreover, it enables customers to access product discounts and offers all in one place.
When the client came to us, they were looking for a solution for both their walk-in customers and themselves. The walk-in customers were in the need of a common in-store Catalog solution that would show them all the store’s category wise product information and offers in one place. While they needed a platform that would collect all the user information which would then be used for engagement purposes.
Customers didn’t had a platform to view all the products and the offers on them in one place. And the businesses, on the other hand, lacked a common platform to collect all the user data for marketing purposes.
The onset of project was made with getting a complete understanding of the project idea and the users’ demographics
The first step of the web app development process was to establish who would be using the app, which we identified to be belonging to the 14-70 years, middle income buyers.
Next, our in-house team brainstormed with the clients on what the app user flow would be in-order to make the whole app experience the one with a quick in and out time.
Finally, we created a wireframe of the app that was based on the customers’ shopping habit and had features that enabled quick in-and-out time.
Our UI Design standard was developed around the brand identity. The brand has already established itself as a creative furniture retail at the back of its designs. So, it was very important for us to maintain the same identity so that the ERP Solution would easily blend in with the brand image, which it has created in the minds of its thousands of 14 - 70 yrs customer demographic.
To keep the harmony of the brand image intact we kept IKEA’s brand colour as the uniform choice to base our ERP app design on.
Although the development process cannot be put into a ‘Complex’ app category, the ERP app came with its share of associated development challenges. Instead of having a common server for all the store locations - exactly as the client wanted a separate kiosk associated to their own individual servers on every location. Also, they had a private IP address, which had to be used to develop the whole Web App from our remote location.
