In the present time, the mobile app has stretched its scope to every field and industry. It has become the very first need of everyone- whether it’s a businessman or an army soldier. When talking about business, it is a way to reach a wider audience and earn high profit. Whereas for a soldier, it is a way to remain connected with its troop and stay alert for the upcoming challenges & situations.
The mobile apps have become the necessity of today- not just for general public, but also for sophisticated organizations like Army. And the very best example is Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). Last year, they launched their own mobile app store, called TRADOC Application Gateway featuring official army apps. And now, they are going to launch Active Shooter Response app for the educating all and save their lives.
According to the high authority of the TRADOC, one has a smartphone with him all the time, no matter where one is. In such a scenario, a mobile application can be a great tool to teach them and keep them updated with everything around. This is why they developed a mobile app, called Active Shooter Response app to help the soldiers and civilians act in case of emergencies.
This mobile app will provide the right information to everyone and help them to respond in the fastest manner possible during emergencies. According to Matt MacLaughlin, a member of the TRADOC Senior Mobile Training Development, this will be a boon for people who go blank in critical situations.
This mobile application, as per our experts, will be released soon for free download from Apple app store, Google play store and other online stores. And it will be used by both army and civilians to tackle with situations like:
- violence in college campus and organization,
- terrorist attack,
- war,
- a gunman standing in front of you,
- plane hijack,
- bank robbery, etc.
To use this mobile app, a user has to simply tap to open the mobile application and tap on another button to reach the emergency dialer. Using this, they would be able to analyze what to do next. This way, this mobile app would aid the people with little or no training on active-shooter situations.
The Active Shooter Response app will soon be added to the Army’s list of applications that helps in Soldier training, readiness and response to emergency situations. This app also follows the development of “We Care” mobile apps created by TCM Mobile for sexual harassment prevention and suicide prevention. The final features and details of the mobile app are not yet revealed, except the option to translate it in Spanish.
